Diminishedvalue.me is a service provided to help claimants determine their loss of value their vehicle has suffered due to an accident. Each purchased report is produced by an Licensed Oregon Vehicle Appraiser.
NOTE: It is estimated that less than 3% of Auto Appraisers producing diminished value reports in the U.S. are licensed by a government entity, such as a State. Oregon is one of the very few states (approximately 3 at the time of this post) that has an auto appraiser certification and licensing program. The appraiser who produces your assignment is a judicial expert, who by virtue of training, education, and experience hold’s sufficient knowledge of vehicle sales and valuation to valuate vehicles within his/her scope throughout the United States of America.
Hence, a government licensed appraiser’s assessment will normally be considered more credible than a computer generated general valuation or appraiser with no credentials even if the appraiser is not licensed in a specific state.
Beware “Appraisers” who are certified by a “phantom internet” company, who’s experience is based on collision repair, automotive repair or insurance claims. Many do not have the experience in vehicle sales and valuations to produce a credible report as to the value or loss value of a vehicle.
Each report is prepared by an auto appraiser with a minimum of 20 years experience in automotive retail and a minimum of 3 years experience in diminished value valuations.
